"Hyori's Homestay" (효리네 민박) features the owners singer / former member of Fin.K.L (핑클) Lee Hyori (이효리) and musician / guitarist of rock band Roller Coaster (롤러코스터) Lee Sangsoon (이상순) who are joined by singer IU (아이유/이지은) who acts as the housekeeper and helps the couple run the bed and breakfast facility. Lee Hyori and Lee Sangsoon give viewers a sneak peak into their daily lives as they open up their picturesque house to the lucky guests who were selected out of a pool of 21,000 applicants to appear on the show. The house which is nicknamed as the Sogil House (소길댁) is set in Sogil-ri, Aewol-eup (소길리, 애월읍) in Jejudo. Throughout the course of 2 weeks, Lee Hyori and Lee Sangsoon host various guests of all demographics who are on holiday to explore Jejudo. As can be seen, the couple are well adjusted to the slow pace of island life as they spend their days drinking tea, cooking, playing the guitar, doing yoga, surfing at the beach and going on daily walks with their dogs. In addition to their 5 dogs, they also have 3 cats who all live in peaceful harmony in this charming residence. The house is spacious with an open plan interior and a lack of doors, including the bathrooms.
