Former professional golfer, winner of 25 titles in LPGA and the coach of Korea's national golf team Pak Seri (박세리) makes a guest appearance on "I Live Alone" (나 혼자 산다). Pak Seri has been living alone for 23 years and currently lives in Daejeon in a building that she built next to her parent's house. Her luxurious home features high ceilings, six automatic window blinds, neat white bedrooms, chic black kitchen, a bar, pantry and two terraces. "I did everything myself from designing the layout and the interior design. I played golf in the US for a long time and I liked the open spaces of the houses there with high ceilings", Pak Seri adds. Despite her material success, Pak Seri explains that her journey had not been easy: "I went to the US for the LPGA test in 1997. That was when I first lived alone. Many people think I went with my parents or agent but I went alone. I was chasing my dream. Before I went, I signed with a big company and it was sponsoring me. Everyone thought that made it easier and that I had a comfortable life. There is a limit to the amount of money you can send from here to the US. That included my living expenses, training fee and everything else. To be honest, it was not enough. It was quite tight. So I had to take a plane to get to the venue but when I tried to buy a plane ticket, I found out that I didn't have enough money in my account. It was the first competition in the US I'd been invited to but I drove for 18 hours to get there. I played in the event and obviously I didn't do well. I drove for 18 hours back home. While driving for 10 minutes, it felt like an hour. Since then, I really dislike being in the car for over 20 minutes. Back then, I couldn't speak English and I didn't have any friends nor could I communicate with others. When another player asked me a question, I had to answer in English. However, since I couldn't speak English, I felt a little intimidated, which I didn't like. So I couldn't use the locker room for several months. I changed my shoes in my car in the parking lot instead for several months".
