One of the most memorable houses shown on "I Live Alone" (나 혼자 산다) is that of reggae / jirubak / R&B / funk indie band Windy City's (윈디시티) lead vocalist / drummer Kim Banjang (유철상/김반장). His house is situated in Jeongneung, Seoul near Bukhansan mountain yet it feels a millions miles away in another century. The house lacks a hot water system so Kim Banjang diligently boils water over a open fire everyday. He also collects spring water from the nearby Bukhansan mountain and climbs 76 steps daily to his house which keeps him fit. The unique house has an attic, meditation room and a large garden to grow vegetables and tea leaves. Despite the lack of modern day conveniences, the house is close enough to the hustle and bustle of Seoul and most of all, the breathtaking scenery acts as his source of inspiration for creating soulful music.
